THE JOURNAL NEWS MEIDIA GROUP

 

The Jouranal News Media Group was looking to re-brand its B2B marketing efforts and make a statement in the local business community.  It had new services available that offered local SMB's a variety of digital marketing solutions (PPC/SEO/Social Media Management, Retargeting...) in addition to its local print and digital advertising opportunities.  It wanted to re-brand to compete with agencies offering similar services. In addition, the brand's URL was lohud.com and consumers did not  relate the website to the print paper. 

 

We assessed the brand problems and its needs and came up with a strategic plan to address the issues. We created new collateral including brochures, media kits, flyers, videos, a microsite, and newsletter that provided a much updated and current feel.   We created a new logo that encompassed both Journal News and lohud.com and pulled out "lohud" from "lower hudson" to show its representation of the area. We instituted sales training on the new product offering and the new sales tools.  We arranged numerous marketing partnerships for B2B marketing exposure.  We also arranged event participation and managed the onsite presence at events.  In addition we arranged a client seminar on the new services that was very well attended and resulted in new business wins!

 

The new image was very successful.  It gave a much needed boost in moral to the employees and strategicly positioned the brand in the marketplace.  The Journal News Media Group went from being a local newspaper to a current provider of digital solutions and advertising opportunities and a full service media partner for businesses in the Lower Hudson Valley. 

BACK STAGE

 

The Back Stage brand was approaching its 50th year in business and wanted to send a special marketing piece to all of its advertisers promoting its long established roots in the entertainment industry as well as highlight its advertising opportunities and the milestones it has reached over the past 50 years. In addition it needed a separate fun Hollywood-type piece for it to promote it advertising opportunities for "Awards Season."

 

For the 50th Anniversary piece, we gathered information about the last 50 years of the brand as well as its advertising opportunities. We wrote compelling copy, managed the layout, directed the design, created an enhanced “50th Anniversary” logo, selected images, and handled all printing needs. For the "Awards Season" piece, we directed the story, wrote compelling copy, selected the images, directed the design, and managed all printing needs.

 

Two beautiful pieces were created on time and on budget. Advertisers were impressed with the stories, the designs, and all that Back Stage has to offer including the credibility that 50 years in business brings. The sales team walked away with amazing tools to help them tell the Back Stage story, to show all of the brands amazing opportunities, and to drive advertising sales.

 

SHANE DIET & FITNESS

 

Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts had seasonal facilities located in NY and was looking to expand its business and enter into a new market where they could operate their business year-round. The company partnered with The Westin La Cantera in San Antonio, TX and worked out arrangements to house its weight loss services in its facility. Shane Diet & Fitness brought in Purpalo to manage the marketing of this new venture and to get the word out on its new year-round facility.

Purpalo came in, analyzed the marketplace, and created and executed a comprehensive strategic marketing plan that incorporated print, digital, social media, email, PR and grass roots marketing efforts. We created copy, brochures, ads, and emails, and assisted with the website re-design. We retained a local publicist and managed the PR efforts.  We strategized, planned and executed the marketing strategy for its TX launch.  

 

Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts was extremely happy with the results.  They walked away with lots of local buzz, increased site traffic, beautiful collateral pieces, and new consumers that need thier help!

REALITY WEEKLY

 

American Media, publisher of Star, OK!, The Enquirer, and others had a vision to create a new media outlet for Reality TV enthusiasts providing all the latest gossip including who’s cheating? Who’s hooking up? Who’s fighting? And more.  Purplao came in to work with the new ventures department and project manage the creation of a prototype for the new brand.  

 

We worked with various internal departments managing the market research, design initiatives, partnerships and go-to-market strategy.  We were able to keep the project moving on-time and on-budget and delivered an excellent  product with the direction and strategy for the company to use to take the brand forward and to the next level.
